Noble calls up uncapped octet

03/05/2006

Great Britain coach Brian Noble has called up eight uncapped players, including Super League's top try-scorer Kirk Yeaman, to his latest 36-man training squad.

The prolific Hull centre scored his 17th try of the season during Sunday's hammering of Noble's Wigan and is widely tipped to win his first cap against New Zealand on June 27th at St Helens' Knowsley Road.

The other new faces joining Yeaman in the squad include James Graham, Gareth Hock, Andy Lynch, James Roby and Jon Wilkin.

Ade Gardner and Jamie Langley, who were both included in last year's mid-season Great Britain squad which took part in a training camp at the University of Bath, are also reintroduced to the camp.

The Lions training squad will be put through two training days in May and early June prior to the match with the Kiwis.

Neither Brian Carney nor Adrian Morley will be available for the training days but will be considered for selection for the Test against New Zealand, the RFL has confirmed.
