Saints go marching on after edging past struggling Hull

St Helens have kept the pressure on Super League leaders Leeds after a 16-8 win over Hull at the KC Stadium.
The Saints, who led 10-4 at the break, scored tries through Jon Wilkin, Steve Tyrer, and Leon Pryce.
Hull scored a try in each half from Kirk Yeaman and Gareth Raynor but were unable to make it a double celebration for the city after the football team's promotion to the Premier League yesterday.
The win for St Helens sees them close the gap on Leeds to six points while Hull stay in 11th spot.
Elsewhere, Wigan held off a late challenge to beat Wakefield 38-30 at Belle Vue.
The Warriors led 14-12 at the break thanks to tries from Thomas Leuluai and Andy Coley while Pat Richards kicked three goals.
Wigan stretched their lead in the second half with Liam Colbon, Richards, Gareth Hock, and Harrison Hansen crossing the line, with Richards booting over another four goals.
The Wildcats crashed over five times through Jay Pitts,Tony Martin, Matthew Blaymire, and a brace from Damian Blanch while Danny Brough kicked five goals.
The win for Brian Noble's side moves them into joint-third place while Wakefield slip to ninth.
Elsewhere, Hull Kingston-Rovers came from behind to beat Harlequins 22-8 at New Craven Park.
The home side, who trailed 4-8 at the break, were led to victory by tries from, Chris Chester, Stanley Gene, and a brace from Michael Dobson while Paul Cooke slotted over three goals.
Quins scored first-half tries through Michael Worrincy and Jonny Grayshon.
The win for Hull KR sees them leap into sixth place while Harlequins slip into eighth position.
