Leicester wary of complacency
21/04/2007
Leicester Tigers will face Llanelli Scarlets today in the Heineken Cup semi-final, still on track to claim three major trophies this season.
After a scintillating victory over Ospreys in the EDF Energy Cup Final last week, head coach Pat Howard has warned that today's game represents a much tougher test.
"Winning last weekend was a start," he said. "We have been pretty consistent in most competitions for the last couple years and it was very nice to get over the line. But tomorrow is a whole different ball game and we have got to make sure we rise another level".
Llanelli head-coach Phil Davies admitted to being wary of the Tigers going into the game and claimed the Scarlets had great respect for them.
"Their track record in getting to the business end of major competitions in the last five or six years speaks for itself," he said
"It is a big challenge and we are looking forward to it".
Leicester have made five changes to the cup-winning side of last week with Alex Moreno, Lewis Moody and Louis Decon plus backs Andy Goode and Geordan Murphy all coming into the starting line-up.
Llanelli have named the same team that defeated Munster, the defending champions, in the quarter-finals.
