Warriors stun leaders Cardiff
23/11/2007
Magners League leaders Cardiff suffered a shock 17-5 defeat to Glasgow at Hughenden.
The Blues were undone by a stunning display from Gordon Parks, who scored a try and kicked three penalties and a drop goal for the home side.
Cardiff's only contribution was a try by Rhys Williams in the first-half.
The win for Glasgow sees them move up to third while the Blues remain top of the table.
Elsewhere, Leinster kept the pressure at the top of the table with a 26-19 win over Ospreys at the Liberty Stadium.
The visitors, who led 17-12 at the break, touched down twice through Shane Horgan and Robert Kearney.
Argentinean Felipe Contepomi guided Leinster to victory with four penalties and two conversions.
Welsh side Ospreys scored a try from Gareth Owen while Shaun Connor kicked three penalties, a drop goal, and a conversion.
The result sees Leinster climb to join Llanelli Scarlets in second place while Ospreys stay in sixth spot.
Elsewhere, Ulster scored three tries to beat Connacht 30-13 in the basement battle at the Galway Sportsground.
The visitors, who led 6-3 in a tight first-half, were led by tries from Kieron Dawson, Carlo del Fava, and Roger Wilson.
Connacht scored a second-half try from Daniel Riordan while Tim Donnelly and Andy Dunne both slotted over penalties.
The result sees Connacht replace their Irish rivals at the foot of the Magners League.
