BB9 Luke reacts well to Rebecca's nomination

24/07/2008

Big Brother 9 contestant Luke Marsden has reacted pragmatically to the announcement that Rebecca Shiner is up for eviction.

The pair have grown increasingly close in recent weeks, to the extent that Luke's girlfriend prior to entering the house has reportedly dumped the student.

But after last night's announcement that Rebecca is to face eviction - along with Darnell Swallow and Mohamed Mohamed - Luke faces the prospect of fending for himself on the Channel 4 reality show.

Speaking in the diary room about Rebecca's nomination, both opined that she had been nominated as others in the house want the limelight for themselves referring to Kathreya Kasisopa.

"What would you do without me?" Rebecca asked Luke, to which he replied that he planned to make new friends, including Maysoon Shaladi and Rachel Rice.

"I'm sure we'll have some interesting conversations," he added. "Paint. Slugs. Lynx adverts. Cigarettes," he says.

And as Rebecca later plucked his eyebrows while they sat in the luxury bedroom, Luke joked: "I will want you evicted on Friday if this doesn't go well!"

However, Luke, 21, may be preparing for Rebecca's exit as they later kissed under the duvet in the same bedroom.

Meanwhile, Darnell was sent to jail for breaking Big Brother rules about discussing nominations, having told Rex Newmark he had nominated him earlier in the show, and Dale Howard chose to award alcohol and snacks to his fellow contestants in the 'Heaven' side.ADNFCR-8000014-ID-18698754-ADNFCR
