Barry and Adele to face off in final

16/09/2007

Barry and Adele will face the heat in the final of Hell's Kitchen tomorrow after fellow contestants Paul and Brian were ejected by the public.

The two finalists will each pick three former celebrity chefs to return to assist them in the live final.

While the public are yet to decide on their master chef, Marco Pierre White has already revealed who he prefers between the former boxing champion and the Emmerdale television actress.

The notoriously frank chef praised the efforts of both contestants but congratulated Adele for being the most hardworking.

He told Adele: "You've worked the hardest out of everybody in the last two weeks in my opinion … you've been the most serious out of everybody."

"If I had to choose a winner…it would be you, if you continue the way you're going. I think you've worked so hard compared to everybody else," he added.

He also praised Barry's fighting spirit in his assessment of the pundit: "It doesn't matter how many times you go down in a service Barry you come up fighting with your mash in your hands."

The verdict among their fellow contestants remains split however with Paul tipping Barry for the title and Brian preferring Adele as the winner.

The final of the show will be broadcast on ITV1 on Monday night at 9pm.
