Biggins wins I'm A Celeb
01/12/2007
Pantomime master Christopher Biggins won the final of I'm A Celebrity
Get Me Out Of Here! last night.
The 58-year-old actor is the seventh king of the jungle, stealing the hearts of the British voting public with his expressive shrieks of horror.
Ex-supermodel Janice Dickinson came second while J Brown came third.
"It was the best. Fabulous friends and just a wonderful time. The things one did
it was worth every minute. My health's got better, it's been fantastic," Biggins said afterwards.
He admitted that the experience had had its ups and downs but dismissed such concerns by saying that when you put 11 people together "there's bound to be friction".
"Thank you Great Britain for voting," he finished.
Biggins had been the bookies' favourite to win after displaying a winning combination of horror with his surroundings and bonhomie with his fellow campers.
"No more mud," he shuddered.
Biggins' night-time encounter with an unwelcome rodent proved especially hilarious viewing.
