Caprice: I'm not in rehab
20/02/2007
Caprice has denied suggestions that she is in rehab and struggling with depression.
The model, who came to prominence in the UK after starring in glossy 'lads mags' and dating a string of high-profile boyfriends, was reported to have suffered a breakdown and checked into the Priory clinic.
After a week which has seen Robbie Williams announce he was in rehab, Britney Spears check in and out in 24 hours and Amy Winehouse wow the Brits with her song Rehab, it seemed Caprice was the latest celebrity to find the superstar lifestyle too much to handle.
Press reports today even suggested the model had contemplated suicide as part of a failed overdose attempt, but her spokesman today denied the claims and said she was not in the country.
Dismissing the allegations as untrue, Jonathan Lipman insisted Caprice is "very happy", adding she was holidaying with her boyfriend.
It has been a difficult few months for the blonde 35-year-old, who was handed a 12-month driving ban last summer for drink driving.
A lack of high-profile work for the former Celebrity Big Brother contestant has seen her visibility on the celebrity circuit drop and she has recently been starring in a South African stage production of Debbie Does Dallas, a musical based on the infamous X-rated film.
A five-week stint at the Johannesburg Civic Theatre's Tesson Theatre saw her produce and star in the show.
