The tables have been turned in this year's Celebrity Big Brother as this time the celebs will be behind the camera.

Channel 4 announced that the celebrities - who are yet to unveiled - will have control over house rules, tasks and food distribution.

In front of the camera will be possibly the brightest and most talented people in the UK - something it's fair to say Big Brother is not usually used to.

The housemates will consist of artists, athletes, musicians and entrepreneurs, with the winning contestant taking home £50,000.

In a word of warning to the celebrities taking part, Big Brother said in a statement: "You are responsible not only for setting tasks, maintaining control in the house, handing out punishments and being a good listener in the Diary Room.

"You are responsible for making this a series to remember. Big Brother will be watching you."

As always, the house has been revamped for January's show. This time the producers have opted for an 'E4 purple' colour scheme, single beds, a hot tub and an urban cityscape painted on the ceiling.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack will start on E4 on Thursday January 3rd.
