Cowell 'prefers Dannii to Kylie'
17/08/2007
X Factor boss Simon Cowell has revealed that he prefers co-star Dannii Minogue to her superstar pop sister.
Ahead of the beginning of the latest X Factor series on Saturday, Cowell noted that working with Dannii had brought "a wealth of experience" to the show.
In an interview with the Sun, the X Factor chief said: "I tell you something, given the choice between Kylie and Dannii, I would go for Dannii any day.
"There's something about her that's very mysterious - I think she keeps some aspects of her character private. She's an incredibly sexy girl, but she doesn't realise how sexy she is."
Minogue also repaid the compliment, saying that she does "fancy him" because there is "something about him".
"He's the most charismatic man I have ever met," the singer said.
Cowell was behind the decision to bring in the pop star as a judge after being impressed by her performances on Australia's Got Talent.
After watching tapes of the show, Cowell thought she had the ability to compliment the existing panel comprising Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh - who returns to the show after his high-profile sacking at the end of the last series.
Cowell admitted that he "missed Louis" in the build-up to the show and reinstated him.
"He's still the best music manager in the business and he's a great friend though he can be just as bad as a girl," Cowell said.
The X Factor returns on ITV1 on Saturday at 18:40 BST.
