Gary Lineker to marry girlfriend

Gary Lineker is set to marry girlfriend Danielle Bux, according to reports.

The La Senza model was photographed wearing a large diamond ring last week and the Sunday Mirror has reported friends of the couple have confirmed the news.

Miss Bux, 29, is said to have accepted the Match of the Day presenter's proposal immediately and the two are expected to marry in 2010.

Lineker, 47, met Miss Bux on a blind date in 2007. The former England footballer was divorced from his wife, Michelle, in 2006 after a 20-year marriage.

Friends told the newspaper: "They didn't want to make a big announcement, but it's true they're engaged and very happy. They are happy for people to know and looking forward to planning a special ceremony."

Miss Bux has previously said of Lineker: "I was surprised how much younger and more handsome he looked than on TV. I thought he was lovely."
