Jennifer and Rex up for Big Brother evictions
02/07/2008
Jennifer Clark and Rex Newmark have been named as the next housemates to face the public vote on Big Brother 9.
Having received six nominations each, the pair will face the public vote on Friday, with Stephanie McMichael and Sylvia Barrie having already been evicted from the Channel 4 reality show.
Alexandra De-Gale has also left the series after being removed following her threatening and abusive behaviour to fellow housemates.
Dale Howard, who has grown close to Jennifer over the course of the show, was the first to nominate, choosing Mohamed Mohamed and Rex as his choices for the chop.
He named 24-year-old Rex first, adding: "A lot of the time, the way that he says things, is just unnecessary really, and he still tries to really control a lot of things.
"It's like he's telling housemates what to do."
Luke Marsden also cited Rex's overbearing nature as his reason for nominating the chef.
"The guy is an utter control freak and he doesn't understand what it's like to be in a situation that he's not controlling," he explained.
"Rex wants to be the dictator in this house. It ain't working out too well for him"
Jennifer, a 22-year-old model from Chester-le-Street, was nominated by Kathreya Kasisopa, Lisa Appleton, Mohamed, Rachel Rice, Darnell Swallow and Rex himself.
The Hampstead gourmet explained he had nominated single mother Jennifer as "from day one, [she] has been bad mouthing me".
"She's fake in front of me and all smiley and cheery, and then goes off and calls me names and says things behind my back, and she is the boiling point of all arguments," he added.
Voting lines for this week's evictions will close during the live Channel 4 show between 21:00 and 22:00 BST on Friday.
