Jordan to complain to PCC
30/11/2007
Supermodel Jordan is set to complain to the Press Complaints Commission (PCC) over a magazine's publication of a bumper sticker poking fun at her son.
In its current edition, Heat magazine published a sticker of the star's child Harvey with the text: "Harvey wants to eat me!" below.
Jordan's son suffers from a disability that affects his sight and growth and his mother is to complain to the media watchdog about the give-away included in the publication.
A representative for the PCC said: "We received 30 complaints from concerned readers so we contacted her management to make clear we have received these complaints.
"We were told she had every intention to complain," the spokesperson added.
The editor-in-chief of the magazine Mark Frith has apologised to the model, whose real name is Katie Price, over the incident.
"I would like to unreservedly apologise for any offence caused.
"I have spoken to the Andre's management team and have written a private letter to Katie and Peter to apologise personally," he added.
Harvey is the son of former Manchester United footballer Dwight Yorke and was born with the disability. Jordan is married to Peter Andre and the couple have two other children.
