Katie kicked out

23/11/2007

Former Apprentice star Katie Hopkins has followed Marc Bannerman out of Australia as the second contestant voted off I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

The 31-year-old was forced to leave the Australian jungle after losing a head-to-head vote against interior designer Anna Ryder Richardson and chef John Burton Race.

The one-time Met Office employee jetted into the camp after former Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren quit the show on the eve of filming.

Her late arrival was a hurdle to overcome, she told Ant and Dec, adding: "Waiting to come in was harder... Thinking they might not know the real me."

But despite being the only contestant to win all of the stars available in a Bushtucker Trial - she was placed in a coffin filled with 20,000 cockroaches and lifted above a ravine for ten minutes - Katie has been forced to leave the jungle.

"I'm sad to be leaving those guys, but camp life was harder than I expected it to be," she said afterwards.

"I like people who work hard and there weren't a whole lot of them," she added. "Lynne (Franks) is all relaxed and Zen and doesn't do much grafting. I'm the opposite of that."

And she added she was relieved to be leaving the constant bickering in the camp, saying: "The fearsome four are Rodney (Marsh), John, Lynne and Janice (Dickinson)."ADNFCR-8000014-ID-18367523-ADNFCR
