Lost actor sorry after arrest

27/10/2007

Lost actor Daniel Dae Kim has apologised to fans after being arrested on suspicion of drink-driving in Hawaii.

The 39-year-old, who has played Jin-Soo Kwon since the US show's first series, was stopped by police last Thursday.

He is the fourth Lost cast member to be arrested by traffic police in Hawaii, where the show is filmed.

A statement released by Kim's publicist said the South Korean-born actor had been left "deeply ashamed and embarrassed" by being found with twice the legal level of alcohol in his bloodstream while driving.

"It saddens me to know that I jeopardised the welfare of the kind people of Hawaii, a community that I love and call my home," he said.

"To my friends, family, colleagues and fans, thank you for your kind words of support.

"To those I have disappointed I can only ask that you accept my heartfelt apologies. I am truly, truly sorry."

Kim is due in court next month.ADNFCR-8000014-ID-18333360-ADNFCR
