Neighbours cameo for Lou and Andy

05/03/2007

Little Britain characters Lou and Andy will appear in an episode of Neighbours.

Played by Matt Lucas and David Walliams, the duo have filmed a scene for the popular Australian soap although producers are remaining tight-lipped about their role in the show.

"The cast and crew were delighted to welcome Matt, David and the documentary team that are recording their experience on tour down under. We are pleased to report that whole experience was relatively kerfuffle free," the show's website announced.

"Although we don't want to spoil the surprise, we can confirm that their cameo takes place in the Scarlet Bar."

Their involvement follows a sketch in their Australian tour which suggested that long-term character Harold Bishop had behaved inappropriately with chav schoolgirl Vicky Pollard.

Apparently wheelchair-bound Andy, famous for his "want that one" phrase, and his long suffering carer Lou appear in the show alongside Carla Bonner (Steph Hoyland), Ryan Moloney (Toadie Rebecchi) and Nicky Whelan (Pepper Steiger).

Fans of the soap in Australia will be able to see the episode in three months time but those in the UK will have to wait for six months.
