Sharon 'returns to X-Factor'

26/10/2007

Sharon Osbourne is to return to the X-Factor for tomorrow night's show after a showdown meeting with Simon Cowell, it has been claimed.

The 55-year old sensationally walked out of the ITV talent show last weekend after being forced to choose between two of her three acts.

During last Saturday's live show, Kimberley Southwick and Alisha Bennett both faced being sent home after underwhelming performances.

But Osbourne - who is in the charge of the under-25s category during this year's show - told host Dermot O'Leary that she couldn't choose between the two girls, before walking out.

A stunned O'Leary told viewers: "Sharon can't choose between her acts. The final vote will be between three judges, as Sharon has decided to leave [for] the night."

In response Osbourne screamed: "I'm out - gone!", before leaving the studio.

But the Sun claims she met Cowell and the show's executive producer Richard Holloway at a London hotel on Wednesday night to clear the air.

Osbourne had already told talk show host Paul O'Grady that walking out had been "a mistake", adding that she wanted to return to the judging panel.

And after the meeting went well Sharon was due to attend a sound-check at the show's studios in Wembley, north London.

An ITV spokesman commented: "We're fully expecting Sharon to be at the studio on Saturday."ADNFCR-8000014-ID-18332126-ADNFCR
