TV duo need X Factor wannabes

10/11/2007

TV duo Dick and Dom have taken a break from shouting "Bogeys" loudly to call on X Factor wannabes around the UK to sing their way onto Christmas TV.

The BBC pair are fronting the new Jingles for Pringles campaign and inviting families around the UK to earn five minutes of fame by singing for their Christmas supper.

There is a £2,000 prize up for grabs each week in the run up to Christmas, but one lucky family could win the chance to see their faces on primetime Christmas Day TV, Dick and Dom explained.

By going carolling at your local supermarket, or uploading a video onto the Pringles website, you could win some handy pre-Christmas cash or get the time in the spotlight you and your family have always dreamed of.

"We'll be keeping a good track of the entries coming in because we will be judging who is going to be on TV on Christmas Day but the other ones that get £2,000 will be voted for by the general public," Dick (aka Richard McCourt explained).

And Dom (Dominic Wood) added: "We're going to sit down with the Pringles people - that's their official name - and we will have a look through all the different entries and we'll ultimately decide who should be on TV on Christmas Day."

So if you and your family think you're a cut above this year's X Factor finalists, the Jingles for Pringles campaign could be the perfect chance to see you name up in lights.ADNFCR-8000014-ID-18350763-ADNFCR
