Will Young set for Proms in the Park
03/08/2007
Will Young has been added to the line up for this year's BBC Proms in the Park taking place in London's Hyde Park on September 8th.
The event occurs on the famous Last Night of the Proms and will include a performance from the BBC Concert Orchestra presented by Sir Terry Wogan.
Popstar Young will headline the line up playing his host of hits that have seen him win two Brit Awards and score two number one albums.
Soprano Lesley Garrett will be singing before Young, after recently completing a run in the West End musical The Sound of Music.
Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Florez will sing alongside the orchestra before a video links aligns the park event with the finale of the Royal Albert Hall concert.
At this point the crowd will be encouraged to sing a long to Jerusalem, Rule Britannia and other Proms favourites.
Warm-up acts before the headliners get underway include former Spandau Ballet frontman Tony Hadley presented by CBBC's Dick and Dom.
