Murray relieved to win in straight sets against Tursunov

Andy Murray was relieved to advance at the Cincinnati Masters after coming through a potentially tricky match against Dmitry Tursunov.

The British number one reached the quarter-finals with a 6-3 6-3 win against the dangerous hard-hitting Russian.

Murray had a 4-0 win/loss record against Tursunov coming into the match and he looked comfortable throughout the match, with the blistering heat causing him more problems then his opponent.

"It's so hot, unbelievably humid, you get out of breath really quickly so I was happy to come through in two sets," said Murray.

"I started to feel the ball better when I broke him early in the second. Against him it's so important to stay solid because he can produce some huge shots, get on a roll, and I was lucky that I didn't let him do that today.

"I changed the pace of the ball well and used the short slice and he didn't like that very much."

Murray, who reached the semi-finals of the Toronto Masters last week, will have to beat either Russian Igor Andreev or Spaniard Carlos Moya, to do the same at Cincinnati.

World number nine Murray will go into the quarter-final match with either Andreev or Moya as favourite. If he comes through that then he could setup a mouth-watering semi-final against world number one Roger Federer.
