Murray sinks to first round Olympics exit

11/08/2008

Andy Murray has crashed out of the Olympics at the first hurdle in a straight sets defeat to Lu Yen-Hsu.

The British number one, seeded six in Beijing, lost 7-6 (7-5) 6-4 to his Taiwanese opponent.

Murray was up 5-2 in the first set but allowed the world number 77 back into the match in an unenergetic display.

The 21-year-old will remain in Beijing to compete in the doubles tournament with brother Jamie.ADNFCR-8000014-ID-18725398-ADNFCR
