Lovely place to eat, don't judge by the exterior. I've eaten here at least 10 times over past 3 years it's always been fresh, tasty and well priced. Service is friendly and unpretentious

we have visited this restaurant on many occasion and have never had anything to complain about the food is amazing as is the service!! my favourite restaurant used to be alberts shed in castlefield but the new himalayas beats alberts by miles... we have also had take out many many times and can not complain the food is as good as the restaurant.. we have also taken many people there when they come to visit and they have decided that they too now have a favourite irestaurant.. veg options are excellent and i strongly advise anyone to give it a go you wont be disappointed...!!!!

My partner and I have been to many, many places, and we love going back to the Himalaya. This is a hidden gem of a place. The vegetarian options are especially good and it's relatively inexpensive. The telephone number listed above, however, seems to be incorrect. It should be 0161 248 8882 (just tried calling them).

Having enjoyed the fine dining & and ambient atmosphere many times l can thoroughly endorse the other excellent reveiws for this superb eatery.10/10. I recomend first timers try the mixed thali, a dining delight,enjoy.

I have been a patron of this restaurant for over 4 years and the food is always excellent. The menu offers a range of dishes not available in a run of the mill curry house and I have nothing but good things to say about the service. Highly recommended.

After visiting the New Himalayas and enjoying the food immenseley, we decided to try their take out service. The result was very disappointing, after waiting 1 hour 15 mins, the food eventually arrived; the curry was cold with gritty bits in it, the rice was hard and also cold, the naan breads were burnt to a sinder and heavy as bricks. On ringing to complain, we were not offered an apology and the manner was rude. I will definately not be trying them again and will recommend others the same advice. The following day we both had bad stomachs.

I've walked past the New Himalaya hundreds of times and never really noticed it, but we went last night and were seriously impressed with the quality of the food and service. It's an undiscovered gem! Delicious!

I live just around the corner from the Himalayas and visit frequently. The food and service are always spot on and the menu is more imaginative than the majority of Rusholme's offerings. They sell Ghurkha beer too!
