Award winning restaurant (Michelin Bib Gourmond 2003-2006) could be described as one of the best restaurants in Didsbury.
January 2006 saw a new look Jem & I, with a revamp resulting in sleek modern surroundings. At last the new look of Jem & I matches the quality of the superb cuisine served.
Best described as Modern European, all of Jem's culinary creations are freshly-made on the premises on a daily basis. At the 1999 Food and Drink Festival he won the Best Chef award for his work at the Lincoln.

Myself and my husband went on open night, the restaurant was very cold, but the meal was excellent. We have been several time since and the meal is always excellent, the staff are friendly and service is excellent Good stuff by Felicity (rated 8/10)

Went for a meal on my daughters birthday, we're both Gemini's!. Small menu,but that's a good omen. Was'nt disappointed. Had the monkfish for the main meal, it was AMAZING!! Will definitley be back for more. Surprisingly good by Mrs. L. Sandhu (rated 9/10)
I do not normally post on websites but I had an excellent meal at “Jem and I” last night. My husband and I have grown tired of pan-this, fusion-that cookery. Sometimes all you want is a decent, unpretentious meal with good quality ingredients and a nice atmosphere. Well, “Jem and I” was a perfect choice. The restaurant looks good too: modern but comfortable. I wasn’t expecting to find somewhere so good outside the city centre and I can honestly say I’d be happy to go back again and again. |
