Located in the bowels of the Ibis hotel, eastZeast is a welcome addition to the Indian restaurant canon in central Manchester. Comfortable and elegant, this is a delightful restaurant to dine in. Comfortable leather seating and a delicate lighting scheme provide a perfect ambience for your visit – this is as far from Rusholme chic as you can get. The menu comprises of a range of traditional Indian dishes with a North West twist, although it’s scarily inexpensive for what you’re getting for your money. New restaurants don’t usually get so much right on their first swing, but eastZeast stands as a testament that sometimes you can hit the nail on the head first time.

Ive been in manchester for 4years now and this place is definitely the best food Ive ever had. I see some people complaining about the service but when Ive been there, Ive always been treated well. Perhaps I tip. -.- The food is truly superb, everything from the chicken methi to the fish tikka. One of the best restaurants to go to.

They put me off returning by rushing me through the popadums and starters then trying to move me up to the bar when I had barely anything left in my drink and the bill had been paid. I want to return for the food but they ruined it a bit.

We have been going to this restaurant every week now for over 12 months. The service is first class and the food prepared exactly to your taste. Our favourites are Chicken liver tikka to start and the cod main course is wonderful. We are looking forward to visiting their new place additional to here opening soon.

Probably one of the best meals I've ever had. I've recommended EastZEast to everyone I know and will definitely be going again.

10/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/10 Good for dates by Richard

I've taken dates to Eastzeast and it's a really good choice. The bloke in the costume at the door is a nice touch, it's dark and intimate instide but still stylish and its really impressive when your mains arrive because they get about 10 cooks to bring them like a procession. The naan bread looks impressive too. Then theres the food which is as good as everyone says it is. Best of all though is that its really really cheap!

I love this restaurant! I’ve been eating there since it opened (I live just round the corner) and the food’s always fantastic. Service is good too – you get a full procession of waiters bringing your main course and I like how a guy in costume meets you at the door. It’s very cheap and the naan breads come on huge racks too (which has given me a good talking point on more than a couple of bad dates).

Saw the reviews on EastZeast so had to try it. The reviews aren't hype! This is quite simply the best Indian restaurant in the great city of Manchester by several miles. Thanks for guiding me there! Has ANYONE out there had a better Indian meal in Manchester? If so where???

9/109/109/109/109/109/109/109/109/10 the best Indian meal in Manchester by Geoff

I saw that this had won the Manchester restaurant of the year award for 2006 so tried it my way home work. It's hardly very handily positioned being on the outskirts of the city centre (located on the ground floor of the Ibis Hotel) but it was worth the schlepp. Although it's a bit dark inside the service is attentive but not too over-the-top. But it's the food I'm talking about. This is Indian food to die for. You can just tell that the chef is a master with a sensitive understanding of the subtlest of spices. This is not your average Indian. It is nothing short of sensational. If you like Indian food you should make a point of trying EastzEast even if it is none too well located. Can you please move into the dead centre of town ? Please?
