Vegetarian café Cilantro does a roaring trade among the health conscious, veggie and vegan inhabitants of Chorlton.
A genuine café, Cilantro stays open until 5pm but its greatest strengths lie in its breakfast menu, which boasts everything from pancake towers with cranberry syrup through to a full veggie English breakfast. The lunch menu offers a strong range of sandwiches and light meals including an interesting selection of dhals, and around half of everything on offer is vegan-friendly, with prices for both menus surprisingly low for the Beech Road area.
Cilantro is quite small, meaning that you may struggle to get a table and there can be a wait for food during busy times as the tiny kitchen fights to keep up with the flow of orders.
