Best meat in Manchester by ED WILKINSON

Visited at lunchtime. The meat offered was expertly cooked and absolutely delicious. Probably not just the best quality meat I have eaten in Manchester, but the best in the North for some time. Superb host, cuisine, value and setting. Cannot reccommend highly enough.

An outstanding meal and great atmosphere combined with helpful and freindly staff meant 11 of us dining, including a vegan (!) were spoilt for choice and completely stuffed. Every mouthful was absolutely delicious, the wines and cocktails reasonably priced and the atmosphere fantastic. Although I live near Leeds I'll be making the trip back to Manchester again soon for this meal alone

I have been to Tropeiro twice now once for my 21st birthday with a large group during the weekend and once during the week when it is much quieter. Both times the service has been great even when it is very busy at weekends and all the staff are friendly and attentive. The food is brilliant, meat is cooked to perfection is so tender and delicious and there is a nice selection of salads and hot side dishes. A few examples were varities of chicken, chicken hearts (actually very tasty), lamb, pork ribs, sausages, beef ribs, rump steak and sirloin steak.The price is very very reasonable for the quality and the amount you get is endless. The cocktails on offer were also really nice and refreshing.I would definately recommend it to those who like meat. Tropeiro is fantastic and the atmosphere is great and I will definately keep going back with family and friends.

omg food was just mega. as soon as we walked through the door we were looked after extremely well and the waiters didnt stop bringing skewer after skewer of beautifully cooked meat throughout our meal. The sirloin steak was beautiful as was the chicken on the bone but all of the meat was beautiful and the sides n starters to. Will definately be back again in the near future and it was great value for money to.

Went on Saturday for something different and am already working on taking as many friends back as possible to enjoy it. Forewarned not to take too much of the salads which was difficult as they were delicous but the meat was worth it. The lamb literally melted in my mouth - can't wait to go back again.

One of the best surprise I've had. the endless meat skewers that keep on coming around you are fantastic it wasn't a single piece of meat I didn't enjoy. Service top, they seem to be smiling at you all the time. Will be back soon

To start, the staff were sooo friendly, which makes a big difference.. The food i have to give 10 out of 10. my only regret is you don't have Tropeiro in Liverpool !! My valentines night was one to remember Thank You !!!

Both our first experience of Tropeiro and the meal was excellent and further more faultless. There is to be found on offer a variety of salads, stews and barbecued meats. However, the tastes of the wide variety of barbecued meats on offer are fused together with a selection of different herbs and spices. Both the owners and staff are very friendly and constantly attend to your personnel requirements but not too excessively. They also take timeout from a busy schedule to undertake pleasant conversations with you their customer. Their rivals seriously need to watch out!

If ever a Manchester restaurant deserves to succeed its Tropeiro. Arriving between Christmas and New year our Birthday party of five got off to a great start with a warm welcome in the bar area drinking excellent Caiprinhas. The simple formula of help yourself buffet followed by kebab like sword after sword of beautiful meat,pork and chicken was amazing. The trick is to pace yourself. Star of the buffet for me was an amazing bean stew but there is so much of everything that you only need a little of each. Friendly waiters carve as much or as little meat as you wish at the table. Blackened on the outside or rare in the middle. The waiters come round at regular intervals. Stars for me go to the blackened Lamb ribs, the rare fillet of beef, the best sausages I've tasted in a long while and the Brazilian speciality chicken hearts. Great, but there was only me brave enough to try them! This was all washed down with Brazilian beer and a Chilean merlot from a decent and inexpensive wine list. No desserts but excellent coffee were followed by a reasonable bill and a warm and friendly goodbye from the attentive staff. It might be aimed at carnivores but its one to go to again and again.

Churra, a Spanish word for butchered meat is what this place is all about. As a party of four we dined at Tropiero on a wet Saturday night and from walking into the restaurant to walking out some three hours later we had a great night. Superb happy and friendly staff,great selection of well cooked quality meats served at the table on skewers but best of all a really good atmosphere in the room with big big smiles and laughter from all the people on other tables . One slight downside was the salad bar offering,generally a bit unimaginative an d as we dined at 9-o clock the salads were a bit tired looking but we went there for the tasty skewered meats and original ideas so who cares about the salads anyway. Great night,Good fun, Try it for yourself

Being a City fan (obvious really considering I'm from Manchester) I'm well in to the Brazilian blend at the mo and in the true South American spirit knocking around Manchester currently, me and a few friends decided to visit our newest Brazilian, Tropeiro. From the outset a warm friendly welcome impressed us all and then speedy service of drink made us even happier. We then got a few cold bits from the buffet, all nice, but the raison d’être of this place is meat meat meat, of which we got in bountiful amounts! So much so, at one point I actually made a noise of delight whilst sampling some of the Lamb. My opinion, however valuable that is, is Manchester is crying out for a good value, good setting, great food venue like this and I hope (for my taste buds sake) it is here for years to come.
