MUST-DO #1

Drink at the Cloud 23 Bar (@ the new Hilton Hotel, Deansgate, Manchester)
About 2 miles from Old Trafford. If you can, get there after dusk for the best view of any city outside of New York itself. Dress code: smart/casual - no trainers. Opens at 5pm every day.

MUST-DO #2

Eat in Chinatown, Manchester
Visit Manchester's Chinatown and eat at the Yang Sing, one of the best known Chinese restaurants in the entire country. Or try The New Emperor for a truly authentic Chinese experience - probably the best duck dishes in the city...proof of this claim can be seen in the clientele, nearly all of whom are Chinese themselves. Or if you fancy something a bit different, try the Pacific (next door to The New Emperor) for a subtle take on Chinese fusion cuisine.

Shop at Harvey Nichols, and Selfridges, located next door to each other in Exchange Square, City Centre,  Manchester.
